Dear Fellow Brahman Breeders

 

Our Open Day for 2013 will be held on Sunday 25 August, when you will be able to inspect the animals we will be selling at the 5th Bizzy Invitational Bull and Stud Female Sale to be held at Grafton Saleyards on Saturday 7 September 2013.  Our offering this year is 10 bulls and 8 females, including reds and greys.  More details will be provided on our website www.mogulstud.com.au. 

 

Prior to that, on 27 July 2013, we will be offering 3 grey and 2 red bulls, commencing at Lot 34, at the Casino All Breeds Bull and Female Sale.  We look forward to seeing you there.

 

Mogul was the most successful Brahman exhibitor at the 2013 Sydney Royal Easter Show. Mogul Bungie (AI), son of Mogul Tesco (P), was awarded Junior and Grand Champion Bull as well as Best Brahman Exhibit.  Mogul Amory by El Ja Data Axcess Manso was Senior Champion Bull and Mogul Miss Skye Manso (P) by El Ja Budweiser Manso was Reserve Junior Champion.

 

Mogul Bungie (AI) was Best Bull of the Show (All Breeds) at the Coffs Harbour Show.  He was Junior Champion at Grafton Show and Junior and Grand Champion Brahman Bull at New England Beef Show in Guyra.

 

Mogul Cajun by Mogul Zeehan was Junior and Grand Champion Bos Indicus Bull at Maclean Show and Supreme Exhibit of the Show.  Mogul Miss Skye Manso was Junior and Grand Champion Bos Indicus Female at Maclean Show and also Supreme Female.

Mogul Maria, daughter of Mogul Zeehan, was a class winner at Sydney Royal Easter Show 2013 and went on to be awarded Supreme Female of the Coffs Harbour Show.

 

Mogul Buick (P) was Senior Champion at Coffs Harbour and Maclean Shows.  Mogul Amory and Mogul Buick will lead our grey team at the 2013 Bizzy Invitational Sale on 7th September.  Their sire, El Ja Data Axcess Manso was second in the ABBA 2012 Sire of the Year Competition.  For the second year in a row, El Ja Budweiser Manso was third in the same competition.

 

Three of the four bulls (all grey) which we will offer at the 2013 Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale are polled or scurred, being sons of El Ja Budweiser Manso.  The fourth is a horned son of JDH Mr Manso 666/4 (AI).  This bull displays impressive Brahman group Breedplan figures.  His scrotal size EBV is +1.1.

 

Congratulations to our clients, the Sivewright family, on the success of their purchase from the 2012 Bizzy Invitational Sale and being awarded the 2013 Kyabra Trophy, and to Col and Lin Tink on their 2013 show success.

 

Dr George Jacobs was honoured to be invited to judge the Brahmans at the Kamphaensaen Beef Show at Nakhon Pathon, Thailand in December 2012.
