MOGUL NEWSLETTER MAY 2002
26 May 2002
Welcome to the 2002 Newsletter!
We’ve just returned from the 11th World Brahman Congress in Rockhampton, where we were delighted to meet with many of you. Delegates from twenty countries attended the week of activities.
We were very pleased that so many people dropped by to view our display stand.
Mogul Display Stand at 11th World Brahman Congress
Excited About Our Future
Visitors included Carl Fontenot, President of the American Brahman Breeders Association.
George Jacobs, Carl Fontenot and Glen Pfeffer
As we said in the display, we’re proud of our history and excited about our future.
Next year we’ll be heavily involved in the 2003 Feature Show, which will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Brahman showing at the Sydney Royal Show. Mogul Brahman Stud has exhibited cattle at 34 of the 40 shows to date, including the last 25.
This year’s 2002 Sydney Royal Show was
well attended. We wish to
congratulate the Fahey family on their excellent results.
Our red bull Mogul Maseratti continued his successful show career, winning the over 30 months class and going on to be judged Reserve Senior Champion Brahman Bull.
Mogul Miss P.N. Myalla 2nd won the over 30 months female class, following on from her success in numerous regional shows. She was accompanied by a magnificent heifer calf at foot, sired by Mogul Leichhardt , which was last year’s Sydney Royal Show Reserve Senior Champion Bull.
Mogul Leichhardt was sold in the 2001 Brahman Week sale at Rockhampton, to the famous “Granada” station in Cloncurry, North Queensland.
The judge at
Sydney show, Mr Matt McCamley,
made a point of complimenting Mogul Brahman Stud several times for the carcase
quality of its exhibits.
Our Maclean 2002 Show results were
outstanding.
Mogul Miss P.N. Myalla 2nd was Senior and Grand Champion Bos Indicus Female. Mogul Miss Skye Manso was Reserve Junior Champion Bos Indicus Female. Mogul Maseratti was Senior Champion Bos Indicus Bull. Mogul Muscat was Reserve Senior Champion Bull.
We are very excited to announce that we have secured exclusive rights

poll-bred sire Jay-W Sir Bruce at $40/straw + GST and Mogul Gaucho Manso — a Brahman

We are also very excited about the
calves originating from our embryo and AI programs.
Mogul Oakwood, Mogul Omaha and Mogul Miss Skye Manso are featured in our Brahman News 2002 World Congress advertisement, which can also be viewed on our website www.mogulstud.com.au.
